All About Mrs. Smith, Ms. Perry, and Mr. Chen

Hello!  Welcome to 5th Grade Homeroom 302 and 5th/6th Grade Math.  I would like to introduce myself!  My name is Kelly Smith, and I have been a CPS teacher for 17 years.  This is my first year at the amazing James Ward School.  Prior to this school year, I taught for 16 years at a school in the Englewood Network of CPS. I received my teaching degree from Eastern Illinois University. I hold an endorsement in Middle School Mathematics from the University of Chicago, and am CPS Algebra endorsed.  I am currently studying to obtain my ESL endorsement with Truman University.  I have been married to my husband who is a CPS 3rd grade teacher for 15 years!  We met many years ago at my previous school.  We have 2 wonderful daughters that are 13 and 9, and a Boston Terrier named Rocco!  I am very excited to be a part of the James Ward Family!
