8th 308 Art (2021-2022)-Furlong HR-A308 Assignments

For this assignment, I will be taking a photo of each of you so you can trace your face before painting. If you do not want the photo that I take, you can attach a different photo that MUST be a closeup of your face and shoulders (a portrait). The photo must be clear and no filters are allowed. You can look at the slideshow for examples

Please fill out this short survey so I am able to get a better understanding of your art experience in my classroom. 


Your honest answers will help me learn and grow as a teacher. I will be able to use the information in my planning and actions moving forward. 

Choose an artist or art period to research. 
Pick 4-5 works of art that you will re-create on a mini canvas.
Take notes in the document provided.

Create one slide for each element. You can use drawn images, digital images that you make, or images from the internet. You can also use a combination. Slides should look like mini works of art.

Use the videos below to learn a little about each Element of Art. On a scrap piece of paper, sketch out how you want to represent each element in your own personal way. There is an example drawing below. We will take your practice drawings and finalize them in class.
