Grading policy

90%-100% is an A

80%-89% is a B

70%-79% is a C

60-69% is a D

59% and below is a F

Formative assignments are worth 50% and are assignments that are done in class to show mastery of a skill.  These can include, but aren't limited to observation of students, checking for understanding, journals, data from guided practice, exit slips, etc.

Homework is worth 10%, which are assignments are sent home that weren't started in class and it's just a reinforcement of what was learned that day.

Summative assessments are worth 40% and include a culminating projects and end of unit tests, and quizzes
