What does my child learn in school?
We use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, a whole child approach to education where children develop not only literacy and mathematics skills but also the social-emotional, physical, problem solving skills, and cognitive skills to better prepare them for life well beyond the classroom. We use the Skyline ELA Curriculum, providing foundational skills in literacy. School-wide we use Second Step, an evidence-based comprehensive-school improvement model that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.
At James Ward school, your child will also receive specials classes such as, Art, STEM, World Languages (Mandarin), and Physical Education, as part of their weekly schedule.
