Get Ready for Social Studies!!
My name is Mr. Reed and I teach 7th and 8th grade social studies and civics. This is my 6th year at James Ward and my 11th year teaching middle school. I am very excited to get to know each and every one of you and to challenge you to think in ways that you never have before. I have a Masters of Education from DePaul University another Masters of Education from Arizona State University. I have very high expectations of all my students and for myself to make sure all my students are receiving the help and level of rigor they need to be successful. We will be learning many different themes of US History and Civic Engagement over the course of this year and students will be pushed to make connections between what has happened in the past and how it still affects all of us today.
